Common examples of betrayal trauma are cheating within marriages/intimate relationships, sexual or emotional abuse by spiritual leaders. This abuse can also occur in the workplace or within friend groups. Betrayal is a deeply personal “hurt.” This trauma pulls a person in the traps of self-pity, resentment, and bitterness.

These videos and articles have helped me to process these difficult emotions and past events. Healing is a journey, one that calls us to see ourselves and the brokenness in our lives. Healing is a process that invites us to become whole and more like Christ in our daily lives.

Heavenly Father, Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit my Comforter
I come before you today seeking your comfort and healing touch.

I am struggling with emotional pain and turmoil, and I need your strength to overcome these challenges.
Please, Lord, mend the broken pieces of my heart.

Guide me in letting go of the fear, anxiety, and resentment that have been weighing me down. Grant me the courage to face my past and forgive myself and others.
Fill me with your love and compassion, so that I may find peace and hope in the midst of my pain.
