Central Truth: It’s not about our comfort or desires for personal fulfillment: it’s all about God’s Nature!

“There’s never a moment in all our lives, from the day we trusted Christ till the day we see Him, when God is not longing to bless us.

At every moment, in every circumstance, God is doing us good. He never stops. It gives Him too much pleasure.

God is not waiting to bless us after our troubles end. He is blessing us right now, in and through those troubles.”

Beautiful image of God blessing us in the present moment! Not yesterday nor in the uncertain future, but right now in the midst of our difficulties and sorrows.

Peace and comfort flow from our relationship with God and others! Prayer, reflection/meditation connects us to His Presence. Holy Spirit guides and encourages us as we seek Him.

Quote 2

“At this exact moment, He is giving us what He thinks is good. There, of course, is the rub. He gives us what He thinks is good, what He knows is good.

We don’t always agree. We have our own ideas about what a good God should do in the middle of our circumstances…

Not only do we want what immediately feels good and often dislike what in fact is good for us, but we’re also out of touch with what would bring us the most pleasure if it were given to us.”

Daily reflection through prayer/journal writing helps us to align ourselves to His ways. Select a Bible verse, quote, or other items that stands out to you and reflect on it. Writing it down, personalizing, integrating helps to internalize the truth or insight.

Consider that much of what happens in our lives is a matter of perspective. A different perspective from a higher elevation as this hiker basks in the sun rays that would be less direct in the valley below.

Quote 3

“The highest dream we could ever dream, the wish that if granted would make us happier than any other blessing, is to know God, to actually experience Him.

The problem is that we don’t believe this idea is true. We assent to it in our heads. But we don’t feel it in our hearts.”

This is the head, heart disconnect. Honestly, this is a result of much of our core wounds that shape our perceptions of ourselves, others, events, and the world we experience. Here’s a simple equation to help you process and discover your “inner filter.”

B + T + E = A Beliefs plus Thoughts plus Emotions Equals Actions

What we believe impacts how we think which impacts our emotions. Research shows that most of our actions stem from emotions. Research Source:

Google A.I. Overview: Cites Article Above as Source

Research indicates that emotions act as primary drivers of human behavior, influencing 90–95% of decisions and actions by shaping motivation, attention, and physiological responses. Feelings, particularly intense ones, provide the energy for actions like approach or avoidance, often bypassing conscious reasoning. These emotional responses are critical for rapid decision-making, performance, and social communication.”

Take a moment to consider your limiting beliefs and how they might be presenting resistance to accepting God’s presence and the truths He’s communicating to you. I explore the concept of mindset in the post below:

The runner refreshes himself with his water after a brisk run. God is our Refreshment, our Source of Living Water (John 4:7-26 & 7:37-39).

Quote 4: The Experience

“There’s no higher dream than experiencing God as He moves through every circumstance of life to an eternal encounter with Himself where transformed people will enjoy perfectly loving community around Jesus Christ, the source of Perfect Love.”

Experiencing His Presence in our lives is the main goal of our spiritual pilgrimage. May these quotes and articles encourage you in your moments/seasons of need!

Rejoicing in the light! His Light touches us and warms our souls.
